Roshini Youvaraj

Optometry Assistant / Vision Therapy Assistant

Roshini Youvaraj is a warm, dedicated, and an enthusiastic patient-focused optometry professional with over six years of clinical experience in comprehensive eye care. She completed her Bachelor of Optometry and Master of Optometry in India, where she underwent rigorous academic and clinical training across primary eye care, ocular disease, binocular vision, paediatric optometry, contact lenses, and community outreach services.

During her years of practice in India, Roshini worked closely with diverse patient populations, gaining strong clinical exposure in hospital-based and community settings. Her experience has shaped her holistic understanding of vision, recognising that visual function plays a vital role in learning, development, performance, and overall quality of life. She had a close experience with Myopia control management .

She has a particular interest in behavioural optometry and vision therapy. At Panoptic Vision, she supports vision therapy programs and contributes within the auxiliary clinical department, assisting in structured assessments and personalised management plans. She is deeply passionate about helping patients, especially children and families, understand their visual challenges and feel empowered throughout their eye care journey.

She believes that Optometry is more than a routine, collaboration and incorporating multiple strategies will enormously help in a visual journey. Age is just a number when it comes under neuroplasticity. which means a tailored customised plan of rehabilitation regains the whole system of the brain. She is more keen in advanced amblyopia therapies.

Her professional values centre on empathy, patience, integrity, and continuous learning. She believes that compassionate communication and attention to detail are just as important as clinical knowledge in making a positive difference in her patients “visual journey” , a meaningful eye care.

Roshini is currently progressing through the OCANZ registration pathway in Australia as part of her commitment to advancing her professional practice.

Outside the clinic, she enjoys music and creative artwork, glass painting and playing veena, a carnatic musical instrument which reflects her appreciation for creativity, balance, and mindful living. She also loves the serenity of the place Lake Cathie and feels people are more kind and welcoming here.
