Leah Batterham
Optometrist
Leah is a dedicated optometrist with over 10 years of clinical experience. She brings an
empathetic and comprehensive approach to caring for her patient’s vision and eye health. Taking the time to listen, get to know her patients and help improve their quality of life are the highlights of her work. She also has an enthusiasm for continual learning which informs a high clinical standard.
Following a graduation in Optometry and Vision Science with Honours from UNSW in 2014, she went on to work in full scope optometry practises in Mudgee, Melbourne and Sydney. In 2017 she completed a specialist certificate in the Management of Neuro-Ophthalmic disorders from the University of Melbourne. In 2018 her research paper ‘Infantile Nystagmus Syndrome’ was published in Pharma therapeutics magazine.
Having grown up in Port Macquarie, Leah moved back in 2025 with her husband and baby to live close to family and friends. A keen art and nature appreciator, she loves to go kayaking, travel whenever she can, and visit interesting art exhibitions.
