Located in the vibrant hinterland town of Bellingen - just 15 minutes from Coffs Harbour and some of the Mid North Coast’s best beaches - this opportunity offers the chance to step into a well-established, community-focused practice for a 12-month maternity leave contract starting late July.
Whether you're an experienced optometrist looking for a sea/tree change, or a recently retired clinician wanting to stay connected to practice without the long-term commitment, this role offers both professional fulfilment and lifestyle balance.​

The Role
You’ll be delivering full-scope optometry with a strong emphasis on patient care, not patient turnover

• Longer consultation times to support quality clinical outcomes

• A varied caseload including general optometry, dry eye, and disease management

• Opportunities to engage in areas such as behavioural optometry and specialty contact lenses (if of interest)

• Supported by a team of experienced dispensers and a highly capable admin team

Clinical Environment
You’ll have access to quality equipment to support thorough, confident clinical care:

• Optomate Touch

• Takagi LED slit lamp with imaging

• Nidek SLO/OCT

• Optopol visual fields

About You

• Therapeutically endorsed

• Confident working independently while being part of a collaborative team

• Brings a patient-first mindset and enjoys building long-term relationships

• Interest in behavioural optometry or disease management is welcomed (but not essential)
